Text Me When You're Home

When waiting for her lift home on a busy Saturday night, a woman is forced to rely on her social instincts as a safety mechanism when confronted with persistent, unwanted male attention.
Grounded in realism, this film is a naturalistic drama that uses horror filmmaking techniques to highlight the nuances of navigating male attention, the fragility of perceived safety and highlighting to men how easy is can be for them to hold other men accountable without escalating conflict. We want to invite men into the conversation and to be part of the solution, rather than feeling attacked.

"We thought, 'Text Me When You're Home' captured a painfully familiar slice of nightlife vulnerability women sometimes face when just getting home becomes an act of survival. The dialogue feels natural and unforced, loaded with subtle power dynamics that escalates tension without ever resorting to cliche.
We also felt that the drama unfolds in a single location, which was quite powerful in itself, yet the pacing, character detail, balancing of humour, empathy and dread was played out beautifully. We care about Josie's journey. We felt her unease. The final moments leaves a haunting aftertaste.
It's the kind of short film that lingers.
For me, it was also very socially relevant, emotionally truthful and was perfectly crafted for screen."
